The price on this sausage is what makes it worth buying, or Sapphire just got an super sweet deal on some Cypress that other producers wanted gone and sells it now really cheap (for us atleast) and makes some buck? :D

I could see that...would make sense for the large difference in oc results...

been waiting till i can save for a 560, but this bang for buck might be enough to just do the deal...if marine's suggestion was indeed an option, that would seal the deal...

Cracking little card. Only 8.5" long, although the PCI-E power connectors are on the end. Bought for £107.99 from OcUK (inc. free next day delivery). Not tried overclocking yet, my lowly Corsair 400W PSU doesn't feel upto the task just yet! lol.

What am I doubtful about this card is noise level actually I know many little nastys sapphire cards and I can not tell you that I expect a good built-in quality.

Has anyone experienced fan noise with this series ?

:thumb: Regarding Crossfire; you don't need to match cards with Radeons. It used to be the more capable card would reduce itself down to match the less capable card but AFAIK modern drivers intelligently distribute the load so both cards can stay at full speed/shader count. I think nVidia SLI is generally a little better except that the cards need to be closely matched. This is all to the best of my knowledge, be sure to check before splashing the cash!

my 5850's in crossfire run great! I cannot adjust the voltage on mine, but i can take them to 850mhz core and 1200mhz memory and they love it all day! I think i could go higher but i don't to blow them up. I cannot recommend the 5850 enough.
