*sigh* The temptation was too much. ME1 now joins the list.

Does anyone think Bad Company 2 will be part of this EA Steam deal of the week thing? I have it for 360 but wouldn't mind trying it out on PC should the price be right...

I really hope so. My internets went down (due to Virgin Media's inability to cope with cold weather) when it was last on sale and I missed it.

Well I got ME1, just umming and arring over ME2. I prefer getting stuff on Steam so happy to pay a bit extra, just not sure how they can justify the extra £5 for the DD Edition!

Personally I prefer getting a disc version which is/can be STEAM-enabled, but if push comes to shove I still prefer something tangible like a disc. Not that I think this will happen, but with "virtual ownership" you could lose your purchased games in a heartbeat. Call me a cynic... :)

I agree with you Az. It's nicer to have a physical copy of something, unless it's some indie game or something I bought for peanuts.

Additionally, I have a usage limit on my broadband package (noe: usage, not download limit), so that highly restricts the number of games I can download. I have to prioritise my net usage if I want to get a new game usually. Thankfully my quota is well on schedule this month to allow for the pre-load of Brink while I wait for the disc to arrive from the ZiiP gamestore. Can play it the minute it unlocks, but will also get the disc. Happy days.

Unfortunately if it is a steam powered game the moment you use the serial on steam the physical copy becomes worthless. Most games these days you can't sell on even if they are not steam powered due to the various accounts you have to link them to, I do however get what you are saying. That being said, if you scratch the disc, lose the disc it is just the same so I feel just as safe these days with virtual ownership and have never had a problem.

I do however much prefer having all my games in one place, I have a fast connection and plenty of storage so the download sizes are not really a problem! :thumb:

I've seen mass effect 2 on amazon for £10. Got 1 thru steam tho. Gonna play one first and see how I like it, then get 2 later on, hard copy. Can't see the point in buying steam version if hard copy is the same price.

Evidently Steam isn't completely in sync. The front page has changed to Crysis day, but the discounts have not changed yet! :O

I'm surprised that Crysis 2 isn't a part of Crysis day though.

Anyone know if Crysis works on Win7 64bit? I only ask because on steam it says:

Supported OS: Windows XP or Windows Vista***

*** Currently only the 32-bit version is available.
