    I think the case is gonna look hella sweet when its done ... but ain't 600 dollars still a bit steep of a price to ask for the case... 400 would be more of a good price but hey... whatever floats your boat.. I have subbed and give +rep your way :D

    Massive update as promised.

    It is MOTM time and I am already 10 votes off the mark so I decided that a little progress would be in order.

    If you have been following this thread, you would know that I wanted to compile all the motherboard form factors into one board and the form factor that I was ultimately stuck on was the SR2's HTPX.

    After an excellent recommendation by Sebas, I was able to replicate that form factor. As such, this case can take mITX, mATX, ATX, E-ATX and HPTX motherboards. To make sure all my measurements were okay, I did a small prototype with MDF.

    I was happy with that and so I got polishing, by now my arms are quite sore -_-

    And so a motherboard backplate was born. This is quite a flexible backplate in terms of what you can put on it.

    Whilst the motherboard goes up front there is room for up to 5 HDD's and two SSD's or 10 SSD's if you choose not to use the HDD slots.

    After drilling in some taps for the 6mm risers, the IO plate was ready to be fitted.

    The fit could not have been more perfect and thats great because working in inches from the formfactor files was slightly irritable...

    Next up was the drive bays and once again, perfect fit.

    First it didn't looked that huge, but now with the mainboard installed it looks like a skyscraper. lol

    Absolutly nice, but absolutly too big. :D But somehow and especially due to the perfection I love it. :thumb:

    Update?! Told you guys I would make use of my days off.

    I had everything cut out but due to some mistakes in measurements I have to make the top panel again. In the meantime, the backplate, midplate and IO plate went in without issue.

    Plenty of room for the dual rads, dual psu's, dual res's.

    IO plate fits onto the backplate seamlessly.


    Bought a Canon 60D so expect some better shots from me when it arrives. I am using my 8 year old Canon 330D to it's absolute limit, the options were really quite limited back then and most of my shots are manual mode to get the correct effects that you see here.

    I am back to full time work tomorrow so I will spend the rest of the week touching things up, polishing to perfection etc.
