    Hi all! Here's something I just built:

    StarCraft2 inspired Banshee helicopter. I ran out of parts due to large scale and ended up with an unarmed civilian version. I might add missing weapons and correct landing gears later. Thanks for watching!

    Some specifications:

    around 3000 parts
    length: 800mm
    4 motorized rotors
    Main rotor tilt
    Adjustable main rotor blade angle
    2 led headlights

    Thank you everyone! I'm making a video of Banshees functions at the moment, you'll see it later.

    I recommend 8258 crane truck. It has nearly 2000 parts, good selection of gears and one large motor. Pretty usable overall part selection for many projects. Only spring for suspension missing if you are interested in those.

    Ive thought I might like to get into lego for a bit but I want to build specific things - how do you get your hands on just the parts you want? Do you have to buy sets?

    I don't know if you still can, but you could buy individual parts from lego themselves, it was expensive though...

    As an alternative to buying individual parts or generic sets from LEGO, you can try the "Design by Me" store at the LEGO website.

    I have no idea how much it costs, but you can design a model and order just the parts you need. Plus you get a spiffy box with your creation's name on it!
