You'll find many twisties. Just get to the most rural areas

Just be careful, many of the roads that are awesome have 2m high hedges on each side, so make it impossible to see what's round the next bend.

 

Ended up going to Wales in the end, it rained on us.
Somerset next weekend methinks. Bike needs its first service now as well.

Live in Portsmouth atm, but that's term time, I've lived in Somerset for about 15 years, Taunton to be exact. Areas around Wiviliscombe can be quite fun to ride, used to cycle them a fair amount, so I imagine a bike with an engine would be much more fun.

 

Yep, got over the bridge and a few miles later it was clouded over, as soon as we headed into the Brecon Beacons the heavens proceeded to open.

I didn't realise you lived that nearby man. Damn it, you need a motorbike already!

 

Of course because pretty girls (and bikes are always female after all, right?) always look sexy when naked...


EvilMerc the bike looks awesome but it is far to clean.

Well it's half naked, so it's a start...

Bike's in for a service at 8.30 tomorrow morning, have to get up early :/ However, 5400 miles uninterrupted riding after that 'til the next service!

I have a decision this weekend; do I go down to the South Coast with a group of bikers or do I go to George Whites and get me some new boots and trousers, potentially even a jacket?

 

If you don't already have the boots and trousers go get them otherwise go south as you'll have a lot more fun.

 

Well I have some textile trousers, but they're horrible in any kind of warmth. The boots I currently use are bog standard assault boots, which aren't exactly best suited to coming off a bike.

Went to a "Unimoto Drag Race" last weekend....Ton's of fun

 

I now have a serviced and run in bike. It's getting quicker and quicker as the engine keeps on loosening up.

Just went out for a blast and redlined it for the first time, got 50 in 1st gear and 70 in 2nd. The noise after 8000rpm is absolutely gorgeous too. Irrevocably in love now...

Also got my first aftermarket part for it too; a new tax disc holder

 

I get 17 in 1st and 32 in 2nd

 

Go get some decent boots just remember to try them on with the trousers you use on the bike.

Tax discs on bikes are a pain I never know where to put the holder and the tax discs get nicked!

On a related note, never bother with those novelty/luxury tire valve caps. Those things disappear like white kids in South America.

 

My Dad's cruiser is in for a service today and he came back a few minutes ago with his hire bike: a Yamaha MT-01.

It's bonkers. Huge, throbbing 1300cc V-Twin in a naked road bike frame and looks like it came from Mars. The vibes are something else!

 

it was hot yesterday, too hot for leather, too hot for clothes.

 

It is never to hot for leathers when on a bike you just need to go faster (until the air reaches body temperature which is when speed and vents becomes a bad thing...).
