Just from Barnes & Noble - $250/1.65-ish
Not a great price, just an American one

I was in Vegas a few weeks ago and was going to pick one up then, but then heard about the announcement of a new Nook coming soon, so held off (which turned out to be a normal Nook)

I'm in Chicago in another couple weeks, but have ordered in advance this time so it's waiting for me.

 

Spotify Premium, I said I wouldn't, but couldn't resist.

 

Ordered a Dell U2711 screen on amazon, will be here on saturday. Fingers crossed it doesn't have any dead pixels or I'll have to send it back.

 

bought some new rims for car (£450 19"BBC CH replicas) and one tyre Nankang N2 £80.
also a zoom lens £250 for my 2 week trip to sri lanka in a few weeks.

Going for my friends wedding, plus going white water rafting, caving,gem mine, jungle safari, and to a rain forest. Plus out and about. Cost $470 that's just the activities plus a few nights in different hotels. flights where about £500 then other accommodation about £117.

then i need spending money.

oh and i had to share this:



This is clay used for cleaning cars, after you have washed and dried your car, you can use this special clay, as you can see, this muck just come of the car after washing it (one small part of the car, not the whole car). Its normal tree sap and other stuff which builds up over your car, you are meant to do it every 6 months. The car then feels smooth as glass/mirror.

spent about 2.5 hours cleaning the car the other day. (wash, dry, clay, hover, dash clean, window clean, foam clean)

any way just wanted to share.

Beauty. Unfortunately you won't be able to go back to 1080p after this, trust me.

 

It's recommended to wax your car after using a clay bar, though.

And a bit of warning to those unfamiliar with clay:

ALWAYS use lubricant! (Yes, yes... Dirty comments and all that... ) Some bars are intended to use with a special lubricant, and some can use clean water (Bilt-Hamber have a nice one). That clay is incredibly sticky, and will be a mess if it sticks to the paint.

I've used this one before. He's right, the stuff is amazing

 

How do you like it so far? I had one for a short time, didn't really see the point of it.

To be fair though, I had Cyanogenmod on it.. Honeycomb seemed to be too much for the CPU, but perhaps things have improved since mid-April. The Android dev community is quite amazing!

very true, the one i got comes with a spray bottle, you must use lub.

I used a similar one from the same manufacture meguiars-quik-clay-kit.

I wouldn't know yet. I'm not picking it up for a few weeks, it being in Chicago and me being in the UK

I don't really see the point of tablets in general (that's probably not fair, I see the point, I just don't think they're for me), hence picking up this instead of a much more expensive Flyer or Galaxy or whatever, for the sake of a play about.

 

I'll pick it up and load HC on it for you

They also sell the "regular" and "soft" individually.

They also have something called Surfex HD. Which is a water soluble degreaser. It's excellent for engine cleaning.

Yes I have. It's the stuff I'm currently using. I'm only using the soft clay, though.

The surfex HD isn't the most powerful degreaser, but it works great on places where you want to rinse properly and avoid having a oily surface afterwards.
