I've just thought. A large portion of this forum have an IQ in excess of say 110.. So that must mean there are some really 'stupid' people about...
I note that most of the forum appears to be populated by people from Europe. That, in and of itself, should say everything that needs to be said.
Well known phenomenon, it has to do with the average intellect not only of the average person in IT, but also with the average intellect of heavy internet users. The scores may not actually be inflated, rather, they're indicative of the habits of that .1%.
The 'stupid' people are all prbably off doing better things. The same situation is magnified for me though because all the people I'm in contact with are very clever almost without exception. Most of the people I talk with at school are some of the cleverest in the year at a school where the least intelligent pupils still have to score 121 on the 11 plus and almost all the people I talk with do similar subjects to me (Maths and Sciences) which generally attract higher conventionally intelligent people (as oppsed to instinctively/emotionally intelligent people). (Also, technically, wasn't that actually insulting us? )

Same here, but I am getting pissed off when my form is filled with utter idiots that think you act like them.
According to that fancy bell curve posted earlier you can assume that for every post here there's another person out there in the world on the opposite side of the curve. Don't worry, Team America's still winning the top IQ with Kayin! We can smell out low IQ and actively shun those who don't fit in.
I don't think of any "win" unless those with the IQs use them to help others. Being smart simply for its own sake is completely useless. Being unwilling to help your fellow man should automatically drop your IQ. Too bad tests aren't weighted that way.
Lol, IQ tests, take them with a pinch of salt, I've studied them and questionnaires in depth in the past, many are fraught with inherent problems and no real statistical validity. Some can be helpful when used in conjunction with other testing methods, they were part (just part) of my University entrance requirement some years ago. That said, yes, 100 is the average, but if your population is stupid then an IQ of 150 may only make you as smart as a kumquat. Edit: IQ = intelligence quotient PabloFunky

Lol, it's hard to tell on here sometimes. Lol, true. Anybody who pays for an IQ test or gives their email for spam really shouldn't be worried about their score, they should be more concerned with learning how to tie their shoelaces.
Never done a proper IQ test. Only those cheap-ass ones that don't mean anything. So pick a number, anyone you like, between 100 and 130 lol.
