Ah, the joys of privatized health care.

Wow, another case of those idiotic "pre-existing conditions" get-out clauses in health insurance policies.

Extra Credits is an amazingly good series and it's fantastic to see the fans support the creators in times like this.

After watching Sicko the fact that the insurance company wouldn't pay out doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Heart-warming to see that there is still some humanity left within mankind, in an age where we mostly seem intent on destroying anyone or anything for our own personal gains. (Mind you history has mostly been like that).

Great story. Depends whether you can fund a game for 62 grand nowadays, if you can't, then Child's Play would be a great place to pay it forward.

Fatal Optimization's only real expense besides RPG Maker VX at 60 bucks has been paying the power and internet bills and keeping me in soda. So yes, you can definitely do a game for less than 62k.

    +1.

Also, amazing how compassionate gamers can be, despite the fact that we tend to be elitist pricks. Makes me proud to be a part of the community.

"Gamers: elitist pricks, but compassionate elitist pricks." :p

Hey, can we have that on a Bit-Tech T-shirt?

I dunno... How much does it cost to keep you in soda?

Let's see, a 12-pack lasts me about a week now, as I'm not able to have much soda anymore. Caffeine intensifies the chest pains for some reason. A lot of days I don't even drink it any more. So soda is pretty cheap for me.

Estimating cost of game dev by soda consumption cheesecake.

How else would you estimate cost? Except by pizza, perhaps?
