75% off each stalker game sounds interesting. Not played any before though, which one would people recommend most?

Call of Pripyat seems to be the most popular these days. Shadow of Chernobyl was and still is great.
I haven't played Clear Sky, but it seems to generally be regarded as the weakest of the 3 and the least worth playing.

I think that's the problem with people that have been on Steam for the past sales, they're pretty much the same games on offer.

Deus Ex is an absolute must buy for less than £2. It is one of the all time classics of gaming -- like Blade Runner for films or the Lord of the Rings for books.

Still haven't bought anything in the summer sale. Got 16 tickets so far though, i'm running out of things to redeem them for.

The only thing i actually wanted was the gold ship for Beat Hazard. Bling yo.

    Civilisation V £15

I played the demo (having never played another Civilisation game...I know, shoot me already), and I quite liked it.

What are the thoughts / recommendations around Civ V?

    Day 5 and five purchases:-

    Elder Scrolls 4
    Hydrophobia Prophecy
    Anno 1701 Gold
    Terraria
    Darksiders

    Total Spent: £ 25.58

The Summer Camp promotion is a little crappy... promoting lots of cheap games but expecting you to spend time playing them to get tickets. The Christmas Sale last year was similar but easier to get some of the achievements... I wouldn't even know how to link my Steam account to Facebook for example...

I hated Civ 5... I have been with the Civ series since the beginning (because yes I am THAT old) and it really caught the dumbing down wave that seems to the trend with PC games now (and yes I am looking at you Dragon Age II...)

More detail? Well for me Civ games are about deep strategy and it typifies a lot of games now where they are going down the 'couple of hours on the Xbox route' and therefore trying to simplify it to make it more accessible.

I'm a PC gamer... I'll make the time...

    :eeek:

This. It's one of those games that people should at least have in their collections, even if they can't get over the dated visuals or whatever to actually play it. :p

Picked up Stalker: Clear Sky. The last one I was missing on STEAM. As for which one one should pick up (as asked earlier): buy them all!

I'd maybe have sprung on Guild Wars Trilogy, if they'd included the Eye of the North expansion, which is what it is. I won't be paying full price for that. Especially, when I've got it all on disc with lots of extra content.
