I must say it is rather sad but not altogether unexpected.

    RIP Amy

It looks like shes been dead for some time, it just took a while for her heart to stop beating.

I personally think that people who allow themselves to be taken in by hardcore additive drugs should be locked up in forced labour camps and the key misplaced.

Indeed mate, his time will come he's had a few close calls already.

I've never understood why all the greats have suffered this way. I've seen friends fall to drugs and I've seen friends who couldn't get off them 9 / 10 times it's the peer pressure from the useless good for nothing shites that drag them back down to their level.

EDIT: It also doesn't help to be in the spotlight, it's hard enough coping with your mistakes without constantly getting reminded everywhere you turn.

It is not as simple as that. They are not 'taken in'; they have few internal psychological resources to cope with stress and distress so they resort to external means.

Just because someone is talented, that does not make them confident or psychologically well-balanced. It takes a special type of personality to crave the limelight. And frankly, the world of celebrity is crazy enough to tip a well-balanced person over the edge, let alone someone who is vulnerable and wobbly to start with. It's a pretty dysfunctional dynamic, and the general tabloid and magazine-buying public is a firm part of it.

I couldn't agree more, sometimes it's the most confident looking of people who suffer more than anybody else could imagine.

She had Enfisema, it could be a cause. Or she did like Claude François, installing a light bulb when taking a bath ^^

Doesn't mean they should get more sympathy either, there are children on the streets deprived of basic human rights that have addiction problems and no means whatsoever to resolve them. She had wealth and was surrounded by people telling her what she was doing wrong. She was a top of the class *****.

I wonder what people would think if she died of a non drug related death, like slipping on the rug and banging her head kinda death. I reckon people would be well dissapointed.

Is it just me who thinks the media spotlight on this, is just wrong? One loss of life is sad enough, but 92 is 92x worse. Nobody is worth more than another person. Yesterday is the real news story where 92 people needlessly lost their lives, not some drug addict.

I don't think that vid's really fair considering, she was capable of so much more.

By the way I'm not a fan, but can see talent. We don't have many truly good singers that don't need a whole studio of effects behind them to sound good at the minute.
