Looks good :D I always wanted a hornet, but i'd only *******ise it with wide wheels and arches.

I saw a NL plated one at a mini show, nice deep metallic blue, sportspack arches and wheels, low and twin exit exhausts, about creamed myself!

None of them are mine, but I've put in tons of miles on them beinga chauffeur.

    My first car:

This started out as a car in such bad repair that it was given to me free from the previous owner who had just lost his license for drink driving. It was deliberately damaged throughout and took me two years to get onto the road. Here's a before and after:

Anyway, last summer I was trawling the internet looking for something interesting and ended up on ebay looking at classic minis. Two weeks later I sold the Astra and bought this:

Restoration is starting very soon, hope to have her back on the road by October (funds permitting). She's a 1275 SPI Mini Cooper from '95 with the mahogany dash and half leather seats. Oh and lots of rust too of course :thumb:

Oh Dear... that my friends requires a good dosage of bleach straight onto the eyes and into the brain. How on earth did you drive that around?

EDIT: I may be tempted by a different colour and without the bonnet scoop

I admit that it isn't my style, not sure I'd put it that bluntly! A KA would be hard to make look good no matter what you did. What other cars have you had?

Agreed that is one of the ugliest cars I have ever seen. Think it's more to do with the metallic plop colour than anything else. Oh and the tribal on the rear particularly awful too
Sorry but I'd have the one on the right

A car is a car ... if it drives me from A to B and offers sufficient space, it is fine with me. What it does looks like doesn't matter, since I cannot see it when I'm driving it (especially the wheels).

It has to be reliable and not being a gaz hungry machine :wallbash:

scoop was for forced air into the engine bay to keep it coler

the colour was a limited edition and the scoop was essential believe me

you would be surprised at the little ka she was low and fast and i even won awards at car shows for the club i was in, not to mention that i had it round the silverstone short course (international i think) with 17 other cars and i came 3rd, i was pitched up against fiesta's mk3,4,5,6, fiesta ST150, Focus ST170 V6 cougar mondeo st220 and a sierra cosworth.

the cossie and the st 220 beat me

other cars i have had were
    subaru vivio
    [IMG]
    renault clio mk 1
    [IMG]
    fiesta mk 3
    [IMG]
    ford ka (TANGO)
And up till the last few weeks ago
    vectra B
    [IMG]

also over the years i have had some motor bikes
    Honda H100SII
    [IMG]
    suzuki gp100u
    [IMG]
    yamaha tw125
    [IMG]

not as bad as the smart car, the hugo and other dodgy cars like that imo

    I agree there

in that case you wouldn't of like the ka after i had done with it, when i forst bought it brand new i got 550 miles to a full tank, by the time i had done modding it i used to get 80 miles to the tank

So you're telling us it got less than 10MPG? How much power was it producing?

Unless it produces stupid power (which I doubt) the drivetrain and chassis would cry and snap in half at the mere thought of shoving power through the front wheels.
