Supposedly they are, in the form of an asia-only MMO or something.

 

It's great to see DK2 out on GOG now, but it's disappointing that the game's technical problems haven't been fixed the way they did for some other problematic releases.

The GOG release of DK2 still won't work with HardWare Acceleration on modern OSes/GPUs and still randomly crashes frequently during gameplay.
I have my disc copy of DK2 right here and until/unless GOG can persuade EA to let them fix the game (assuming EA is the stumbling block, here); I won't bother buying it from them.

I love GOG, but the DK2 release is a disappointment for me as the kind of person who often buys their releases for the convenience and compatibility-fixes.

It's a fantastic game and still worth playing, but you'll have to put up with Software-rendered visuals and occasional crashes.
Some people on the GOG forums are saying that they're only getting crashes when they click to go to the objectives screen, but I don't see anyone saying they got HW acceleration working.

Tempting, veeeeeery tempting. Is it any good if you just play it single player rather than co-op?

 

I would buy one copy off a GOTY 4-pack was well, if the code can be sent via email so I can gift it to a friend. Money will be sent via paypal beforehand of course.

Unfortunately I cannot buy the 4-pack myself and sell the other keys on here as the German version is cut quite severely.

 

Hmm, I have a physical copy of the original Borderlands (without the DLC) so I would be tempted by a Steam GOTY version for £3.74. But only if I can give my current copy to a mate. Does anyone know what the DRM on the DVD version of Borderlands is and whether the game is transferable?

 

A bit of research tells me there is no DRM on the physical copy except for a disc check so count me in on a GOTY version (assuming it contains all the DLC).
