Good luck Robo! Voted for you. That image looks good cronic, the edge would be a little thicker though?
Im a moderator on their forum. Anything you see from another online store they pricematch... If you look on gp forums they are NZ's most trusted online store... Cheers.
nice ones confusis ... if you are interested in modeling cars, I'd suggest you this site : http://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/ It has thousands of blueprints of cars, trucks, planes, etc. This is my bible when I'm searching for template to model something . Example :
Ooh, thankyou! The car image was thrown together as a tester from 3dwarehouse components.. yeah i can be a lazy a**
Thanks guys! I have fallen to second in the poll so every vote is greatly appreciated. Spread the word! http://www.3dconnexion.com/challenge/voting.html Edit: Forgot to add this
the actual first design is quite utopic ! Yours is doable and affordable. Add a standalone mode to use it as a sketch tablet and it is a winner to me
Playing around with indigo physical renderer. It's pretty powerful, and given I have to spend less time tweaking materials than I would in cinema's own render engine, the longer rendertime pays off.
Wow, nice render Tangster. The DOF looks really good to my eye at least and the liquid effect / refraction looks spot on realistic.
add another vote Robo and that little bot gif is killer ... @Tangster "Less time tweaking materials" than C4D? really ? R13 ? But the render time is longer. Still, I think I'll have to take a test drive btw... nice reflections there as well!
I voted as well, best of luck to you. Regarding your animation, I liked the 2nd one the most, I had to watch it a few times since you did the cool effect of that freeze-spin-resume.
Still experimenting with physics... Playing around with volumetric lighting (I still new to lighting so constructive criticism is appreciated) Have a animation with volumetric lighting rendering at home, Ill post it here when its done.
Nice ones Robo . Maybe you should add some weight to your bricks. They look quite light-weighted. I'd bought a very good book about hand animation that came very handy with 3D animation. It's been writen by the guy behind "Who framed roger rabbit". I'll try to find the english name. Here is a link to this book (and the new DVD collection) : http://www.theanimatorssurvivalkit.com/
lighting in that last pict Robo reminds me of some stuff done in After Effects. Logo looks like it could be the end of a branding iron ramming through.. What App is it , 3dMax?
