thanks ^^ Actually there's not that much dof in it, I added some in post with zdepth, other than that it's just rendered motion blur (granted, alot of motion blur :p).

Still gives a very nice sense of depth ^^, how long did it take to render one frame ?

Sure does :) About 40sec/ frame (at 1280*720) +- 10sec depending on the amount of motion blur.

That's pretty fast. I can remember rendering animation on my AMD XP2000+ .... several minutes per frame :waah: ... took a month for a 2min 30s animation.

woah:jawdrop: that's some nice render times, i tried to render a small animation some times ago, but each frame took about 8-10mins but i was using vray, so i gave up :S

Yeah dof and motion blur is a real pain in renderers such as vray and mental ray, I usually use vectorpasses and zdepth when using them. This thing was rendered in houdini using mantra, which gives you motion blur basically for free thanks to the micropolygon engine.

Playing with the new features in Cinema 4d R13. I don't know if this works, since I've never been able to focus anaglyph properly.

Amazing ... this is interesting. What did you use to make that ? I did try to make a diamond shader but it requires a lot of lightray recursivity with difrac and refrac if you do not want to have a black spot inside of it (no light reaching the "heart" of the diamond).

    Those aren't diamonds, shape's all wrong :p

Could be a quartz, or a topaz (or a lot of other things, but hey) from the crystal shape... amozinite/apatite colouration. Very nice Dark, I'm more impressed by the rough stuff than the crystals, it looks very convincing.

Not hasteling, it just kina' my job at the moment if you're wanting to do any more minerals/crystals, this is probably your best stop for shape/refraction/dispersion/inclusion/etcetera data.
