I had one of these for three weeks, before selling it. Not good imho. I now have a Nixim Polecat, and it's a million times better.

But a "million times" better. Bargain?

You know if someone goes to this effort they really should have 3 displays.

Not one of these things offers a 'real' racing experience, the controls aren't even in the right place! Find me a car where the gear stick is at elbow height ffs!

Looked like the controls were all in the right place for me in this video:

I don't get all the seatbelt shenanigans though, I was expecting the diver to be getting thrown around a bit when I saw him belting up, and felt a bit cheated after watching the video.

Civic Type R. Really odd at first, but you get used to it.

Build your own, all you technically need is a good stand really.

I had built my own in MDF - was OK, but not as good, and not as adjustable. I have a Buttkicker for vibrations, but I could install a DBOX setup into the nixim without too much hassle.

I'd really love a SimXperience setup, but that's real life car money.

I had 10 minutes behind the wheel of one (when my brother had one) and I loved the gearbox on it. It was perfect.

The Fiat 500 has one in a similar place but the 'box sucks on that...

The Obutto Ozone would have been a better choice and is nearly the same price , better built and has the option for tripple screen.

Most sports cars have the seat much lower, to the gearstick is just below elbow height, you lean your arm on the centre console and the gearstick just falls in place. Alot of people put a massive big gear stick on their car to get the same effect, especially in drifting, so you have the hydraulic brake right by the gear stick.

    e.g. http://www.zcars.com.au/images/rsr-scion-tc-interior1.jpg

Although that is a much tidier mod than usual :D

I own one of these for 6 months now. and Its actually works great!
I notice from the pictures on the review that you guys actually fitted the cockpit all incorrectly.

when I purchased my cockpit. I received an email with a link to the online assembly manual.
its more detailed than the sheet provided.
    you guys should visit http://www.gtomegaracing.com/usermanual.html

I can see 3 bolts for the seat was used on the steering wheel tube. connecting to the front pedal base.
The Gear mount is mounted too far away. and its not even low when the G27 Gear stick is mount.
did you guys even test the cockpit with the G27??
why is the wheel plate mounted the wrong way rofl. you can't mount any wheel in that way.

if you have seen the online manual then It would be fair to say: you guys have reviewed the rig very unfairly.
on the link it does say and show both halves are to be fitted at the end.

    how could you say:
We’re PC enthusiasts, though, which means that we’re used to instructions only getting us halfway to a working product and then leaving us to figure out the rest. However, even our inquisitive minds and brute force couldn’t finish off the build properly.

    ???

again you guys should visit http://www.gtomegaracing.com/usermanual.html
