Well the luck depends on how you see it.. if youve been careful along the way and always checking measures several times. Things like "lucky fits" tend to happen more often. This was one piece I didn't expect to fit, but it did, so I still call it luck :)

Thank you very much, I for shure wasn't expecting this lill piece of plastic to get so many comments. Thanks to all of you:thumb:

Haha.. in that case, there is time for some more showing off at the bottom of this post :)

    :thumb:
Thanks. Its always nice to inspire people to do something similar. Im looking forward to some future modding from you then :naughty:

    Always apreciated:thumb:

    Thanks

Then you will be the master of the dremel and pyrograph arts.
Thanks for the comment:rock:, Im shure the machines will come to you in the future as your dedication to modding is the biggest Ive seen :)

Thanks, the black glue was a fun experience.

And Here is some more work on the USB connectors. I slaugthered some cables to get to the connectors. And I also did some further adjustment of the bracket.

Then I had to have a way of fastening the USB holder to the foot. I was first intending to screw the USB holders piece from the bottom of the foot but I soon realised that this wouldn't be strong enough. So I made this extra piece that keeps the other piece in place and add some strength.

The whole thing could obviously been made less complex but this part is one of those designed along the way and therfore might not have the best design but it works.

Lol.. look what I got ^
For those of you who have seen my resent posts might know I've been desperatly searching for som black gluesticks but couldn't find anny and I ended up making my own. Turns out that these were available in on of the stores I looked at. I just didn't see them somehow...:wallbash:

There is times when I post quite a lot of pictures for one single part. The reason for that is that I wan't to show every step of how the part is made and how it works, if someone else want's to make something similar sometime.
    Hope you don't mind

No USB3? Would it be easy to add when you get around to eventually updating the internals?

D'oh :D:lol: well at least now you & others including myself know now :thumb: but even so your technique for doing them allows for any colour which I'm sure will be useful :).

This just keeps getting more & more complex but awesome .

    Hehe thanks :)

Your projects are amazing as they are, and the attention to details is already there:thumb:

There isn't any USB3 connector on the hardware I will be using on this project. However If there would be a hardware upgrade in the future, the USB connectors are probably the least of my worries. A small shift in the CPU placement would probably result in a reconstruction of the whole heatpipe thingy.

I think it would be pretty easy to putt in some new USB connectors.

Good point and thanks for pointing it out:thumb:

Hehe yeah atleast now we know that it works and as you say, the color option is endless.
    Thanks for watching Waynio:thumb:
