I've not read that many Discword novels, but loved the ones I have read. I have signed hardback copy of Jingo.

I went to look for those albums from iTunes just because of the shiny cover artworks.

Turns out I love the music too. Have +rep for widening my world.

Always fancied one of them. £85?
I had a look at mpc's to play around on but they were all £250.

    Is it easy to use?

The mpds are midi controllers so you can map it to whatever software you want i was going to use it for cue point juggling in traktor 2

But i could hook it up to FL studio and run a drum rack to drag what samples i want for each pad same with ableton live

It supposed to work with around 30 workstation programs by default and can be mapped to many more

I will update when i get it but i have been told its one of the best budget pad controls out there just below its big brother the MPD32 the mpc units are expensive as they can be used standalone for sampling and such

New it goes for £150 but i got mine from amazon used the seller saying "practically new hardly used"

Just repaired my Sony MDR-V700s, and since I'm looking into some AKG K702s, I thought I'd try some headphone amplification, then move onto things from here.

    Cameratoys!

    Sony NEX-5N Black + 18-55mm kit lens
    16mm f2.8 pancake
0.75x wide adaptor for the pancake
    32GB Memorystick Pro-HG HX

I've actually been holding out for the NEX-7 for a while, however having seen the low light performance on the 5N compared to the A77 (frankly, pretty poor), I've had a change of heart.

LCD 2080UX+ for $25. Can't calibrate, properly because one has a weaker CCFL. I got it close enough but the left one is SLIGHTLY darker and bit yellower. Oh well, still a great purchase.
