    A friend of mine has her scan next week to find out the gender of her child. She took bets on facebook today, so I said an Ewok XD

    I like babies, luckily none of my own so I can always give them back :hehe:

    If i told you id have to kill you......

    But seriously, i survey the high voltage powerlines for YEDL anything from 11kv-132kv. Basically i get given a circuit map (anything from 0.1km-50kms) and i go and survey it for any vegetation that needs cutting, then find the landowners for the trees etc.. and organise the cutting of them.

    So theres plenty of walking over fields/ditches/streams/woodlands etc...

    Probably not as awesome as you thought

    Yeah ive been to some awesome places (currently working in the otley area), but ive also been to some shitholes! ive been chased by dogs, sheep, cows, and met some really interesting people, and right now im really happy.

    I could really do with a decent hiking pole/walking stick if anybody has any recommendations?

    Sounds nice, when it's just not raining dogs :) Goretex is really sweet, dipped my Salomon trail running shoes, didn't get any water trough. Maybe gotta look something more boot-a-like for myself too for the winter.
