My desire HD is always dead by lunchtime every day, and thats after being charged every night! even from new the battery life was ****, easily the best and worst phone ive ever owned.

Tbh ive always had 'smart' phones of various generations and loved them but the latest generation all seem to have dire battery life (medium-high usage) so until i can get one that can be used all day without needing to be charged then im going to stick to my netbook and and a 'stupid' phone.

Im not trying to fuel the fire but just saying all products have issues regardless of who makes them.

 

Hmmm , perhaps that improved the battery life for the wildfireS since the desirehd came out?

 

A thunderstorm recently killed my router, so:

- New router
- Surge protector
- Bunch of 220V LED bulbs

 

Yawn. iPhone vs Androids... I'm completely sick of it now.

I don't think it's actually a case of Android vs iPhone any more... I'd say it's more a case of:

99% of iPhone owners love their phone but know and respect that Android phones and other smartphones are capable of most of not all of the same functions as their handset.

And

50% of Android owners thinking their phone is better than the iPhone because it's not made by Apple and can sync to a PC without iTunes and without being jail broken, and wasn't assembled by slaves

Whenever I stop being so stingy and get a smartphone it'll likely be a Android phone, but I have to admit that at least most iPhone owners are happy with their purchase.

I've stuck with my dumbphone for awhile now. Samsung Alias 2, not even sure what the name of the OS is.

 

Java something, probably! I just changed the very last dumbphone that I had (spare pay & go that's always charging in the glove compartment for emergencies) for an old iPhone 3G 8GB that I repaired/cobbled together from various spares. It was an LG KG800. A terrible phone in so many ways, but it did the job and got me put of a pinch once, when I b0rked my iPhone screen and needed to call a customer for directions

 

I decided to go with a mixer instead of midi controller for eq and such £70 for a vestax is a good deal fader caps on some are missing though (i never understand how someone could lose that) which i need to replace

Im done with my setup for now im excited to get it all hooked up and making some cool mixes

I have yet to receive any respect over my phone choice from anyone with an iphone. It gets worse when I tell them it feels too restricted for me. I know several who now look at me like I have a learning difficulty after explaining this.

 

It's not so much that we don't respect you.

Its just sort of like hearing a lady say she's bought comfortable shoes. You can see that they're very good for walking in. But you don't get excited by them.

The android's are very good, but they don't have wow factor. And thats the tradeoff for more accessability and less restrictions.

 

To me it's the other way round.
