rpg = guildwars racing = iracing flight = il2 series I quite enjoy dow 2, despite it being fiddly controling the squads
In order: - BF3 (I'm sure it will be ) - BFBC2 - Mass Effect 2 - Fallout 3 - Portal 2 - Any early Mario Brothers - Goldeneye N64 Honorable mention: - Mass Effect - Metro 2033
way to many to name but Command And Conquer : red alert 2, yuris revenge ( best...game...ever ) Unreal tournement ( the original ) got me into FPS Cod 4 got me massivly into the multiplayer FPS Sim city 3000 / 4 ( 4 would win my a massive lead if it wasnt so gorram buggy ) Hardwar ( one of the first 3d games i ever played ) rise of the triads ( i think, it was installed on my dads pc when i was little, cant find it anywhere since ) Civnet ( original ) wasted my childhood on this game ) Portal ( never played such an awesome game ) Need for Speed : carbon ( amazing just for the fun of free roam cop chases ) GTA 3, another game i wasted endless hours of my teenage years on
^^ I had the demo of Hardwar and really loved it at the time, I'd forgotten about that game. Just looked on ebay for it and someone is trying to sell it for £99.99.
If we're talking the game I've spent the most time on, and been so addicted to that I've uninstalled and then reinstalled 3 times, then World Of Warcraft wins hands down. I know it's cool to hate on it now but, really, the game has been fantastic. Yes, it's losing its way right now, but show me another game that has had 7 years and 11 million subscribers at its peak. No? Hands down winner - and, for the record, I've finally quit the damn thing after 5 years. As for other contenders - Wizball on the C64 (my first gaming addiction), Elite, Mass Effect 2 and Need For Speed: Most Wanted would be close to the top for me.
Always wanted to play it. When 'Home of the Underdogs' was up and running they had a freeware version (totally legit before someone gets upset) but it didn't have any of the videos - and I couldn't get it to run either. Hopefully GoG will get it one day...
best game half life 2 best series half life, but mass effect is pretty close behind and if mass effect 3 lives up to expectations it will take the top spot, of course that may change when episode 3 is finally released.. and a honorable mention to stalker, other than mass effect 3, stalker 2 is the game i'm most looking forward too.
For me, it has to be Knights of The Old Republic. I spent so long playing it through all light side, then all dark side, then in between. Going to different planets in different orders to unlock different bits. Laughing at my mate who had it on Xbox and he didn't have all the planets or customisation options. Having said that X2 The Threat consumed my life whilst I was playing that. Different genres so I guess I can put them both up
no one mentioned the greatest space RTS ever? Homeworld FPS: most of Battlefield games RTS: Homeworld, CnC, CoH, WiC Racing: GRiD, DiRT 2/3, TOCA Race Driver
I could never get into Homeworld, though I did own both games. I fear I'm about to get ripped apart for that statement......
I... you... but... what? Homeworld was so good! I suggest you go back and play them sir, for they are true gems of the RTS genre.
