right just ran the single player mode and getting a low of 90fps and a high of 140fps with everything maxed with no motion blur. i am not gloating with this but i think people with less of a system should do better than they expected. i thought it would grind my system to a holt but its silky smooth

Those are some awesome results. What is your average fps?

What resolution do you play at?

    SLi 570 isn't exactly a slow system......

how well will single 580 cope with 2560x1440 is my question.

    At 1920 x 1200 I average 60 - 70fps and that is with an OC'd 580 so I'm guessing you would have an average of 30 - maybe 50 with a 580 at 2560 x 1440 with maximum settings.

thanks. i'll be playing on Ultra with terrain detail and another option that is related to bushes turned down to low. so it is easier to spot people hiding in bushes.

hopefully i can play the game at steady 40 FPS at 2560x1440 with at least 2xAA.

agree, Battlefield games' multiplayer FPS is where it counts.

That 60 -70 fps average is the multiplayer fps. I tried it yesterday and I was seeing highs of 90 and lows of about 45, with the average ranging in the 60 - 70 fps range.

Very glad to here those result my spec does not match but i was worried i would be force to play on low (Stupid greed for details).I'm running a ati 5830 plays BFBC2 on high at 40 FPS which is fine for me, Plus there is the OC feature on the catalyst driver if i need to squeeze some more.I'm planning on buying a ATi 7000series after or for xmas.

Let see some more result please.Plus out an out of 10 for gameplay?

    I think a 560 ti/6850 would be the minimum :)

Well, I now have a 560 ti but I do not have an activated copy of BF3 to confirm, how did you activate early?

I used a proxy switcher to change my IP to a korean IP address and passed the time check. Once you pass the time check you can turn off the proxy switcher and play whenever you want. I only did it to check if it worked and it did, so I now have the ability to play BF3 whenever I want. I can give you a link to the program if you want to play early. Bare in mind that if EA finds out you may be banned, however I have purchased a copy legally and playing it a few days early cannot do any harm, or can it?

Korea got it before us as well? :jawdrop: I begin to wonder what other time zones get a better deal and might unlock it before me, Outer Mongolia, Timbuktoo, Norfolk...

Cheers for summery, I will check it out since it is preloaded on my desktop and mocking me as we speak.
