Sounds like the PunkBuster issue from the beta (the error message was misleading then too), try playing on a server without PB enabled and see if that works.

 

then try to reinstall PB.

Been playing the Campaign this evening and MY GOD is it Pretty. Even runs ok on my baby laptop too (GT 540M) so will look forward to some mobile multiplayer-ing

 

How are people playing it already? I have it pre-ordererd on Origin.

 

so I've seen a lot of cheap Russian keys floating about....tempting as you can get the Special Edition of the game for under £15.00 and there's plenty of language packs about to change the game to English.....just paranoid that it wont work the UK? Anyone else gone Russian?

It's true, you really do need more than a GTX 580 for 60fps @ ultra. It gets 55fps

ahhh, this is killing me knowing loads of people playing BF3 and i'm still waiting for the 28th. Why does North america get it before everyone else.

 

I cracked under the pressure and got a code from Green Man Gaming (and quidco!), went to Korea for a few minutes to activate then jumped straight into MP!

Had a blast! Great game but cant wait until there are loads of UK servers to get better ping / less lag!

 

Just played the campain at ultra settings with SLI activated and HOLY F*CKING CRAP IT'S BEAUTIFUL

I... I'm in love with my PC

Running on high settings getting no issues, tried ultra briefly may stay on ultra and see what happens! But for now i gotta sleep lol

First impressions:

omfg graphics!!!

I've only played like 2 hours of single player (yes single, not multi yet), and I'm blown away at the graphics quality. I died a bunch of times in the first couple missions because I got distracted watching the scenery and forgot to shoot. Other than that, I haven't gotten very far. I still want to get in multiplayer and fly a jet (something I missed since I joined this series at BC2).

I'm also very pleased that my laptop can handle this game at native resolution (1920x1080) with most settings on ultra except for AA and a couple others that cause a lot of lag (I'm running a GTX 460M mobile graphics card). I'm hoping that multiplayer will be about the same, but BC2 was really hard on my computer in multiplayer compared to single, so I think I'll have to turn things down to medium and possibly lower the resolution when I go to play multi.

Also so happy I snaged this for $41 in Amazon's preorder sale ^-^
