I don't think you are getting the innuendo.

    Or maybe you are? :worried:

Just stick a pillow to it

Thats the easy way to do it

If your quick you don't even need to use glue...

So OP, any updates on the yoghurt-on-chair saga?

    Your coat's over there.

Well I've both had yoghurt and yoghurt end up on my sofa. Leaves identical spots and both are removable using a towel, water and mild soap.

I went at it with some 1001 carpet/upholstery cleaner this morning. It's still not 100% dry but I can see that an improvement is potentially on the cards. However, I'm not getting carried away because I thought it had gone the first time I tried mopping it with a wet sponge. It seemed to have gone only to reappear a few hours later - so I hope it's not like those birthday cake candles that never extinguish.

I'm planning another 1001 treatment tomorrow, that hopefully finishes the job.

I think it was that which caused the issue to start with...

Why would you eat yoghurt in front of your computer, and why are you so ashamed of this (admittedly pretty... peculiar) habit?

    Anyway,
If that doesn't clean it, nothing will.
Never knew "yoghurt" could leave such a mess though... :eeek:

Two wrongs make a right.... (im pretty sure its that way round right?)

By that theory using more 'yoghurt' should clean the dried in 'yoghurt' currently on the sofa

I think this thread divided opinion. I have earned rep and ridicule in roughly equal measure.

To some I am nothing but a degenerative deviant - I make no apology: I spill yoghurt therefore I am.

Others have expressed appreciation for the bringing the subject to the fore, and as such I am keeping this thread going until it reaches a conclusion.

So 1001 was applied. It tells you to rub it in then flush it out but don't over-wet it. Never really understood how to achieve the miracle middle line and the long and short of it was that once dried there was a massive ****ing area of the seat with a tide mark round it, like some dirty ******* had pissed themselves. To top it off, the yoghurt stain was still visible, if less so than before.

Acknowledging the potential need for further treatment I'd left the 1001 bottle in the room anyway. I knew this was a bit risky as it may attract questions, but I thought I was pretty safe cos the lady of the house never uses that chair (which coincidentally is the one for the desk my pc is at).

Yesterday my heart-rate quadrupled as, for the first time in 12 months, the lady of the house announced, while I was sat on the bog, that she needed to check something on the web and was going to use my pc (My PC?!?! [she has her own laptop]).

Whether she ever saw the massive tide mark and faded yoghurt stain I don't know, but she didn't say anything.

Later on that day she came across the 1001 and asked me what I had it out for. I told her it was for removing some marks on the chair. No more questions.

So it seems like I have survived the weekend. I'll get another shot at cleaning it tomorrow...

My advice would be to feed yogurt all over the chair so as to make it all the same colour hence no marks.

However I will not be held responsible for any side effects.

    Hope this helps.

Firstly I'd like to thank you, again, for the lol.

If trying one more time doesn't work, bearing in mind you have to clean ALL the chair otherwise some parts will be clean whilst others will still have years of heaven knows what on, give up the ghost and drop ketchup on the "yoghurt" stain. After all, which would you prefer to admit to the owner or the gf, being clumsy with ketchup or that you're a solo "yoghurt" factory? :hehe:

If you go with the cover the entire chair route you may need to enlist help of other yoghurt enthusiasts like yourself to help supply yoghurt to fully cover the chair in a nice coating.
