If you fancy having a go with the more rediculous guns then have a look for a sever with weapons unlocked, I went on a server the other day that had everything unlocked :D

My peeve is calling the M1911 the longest serving weapon in the world. Surely that would be the Lee Enfield?

Why would it be the Lee Enfield, of all things?

Possibly because it's been in use since 1895? Having said that it does fall slightly short of the Mosin-Nagent for length of time it's been in service.

Just finished campaign. Bit shorter than I'd hoped, but I still think better script than MW2.

No excuse not to start doing multiplayer now though. 3 matches so far, kd ratio is awful....

The game is getting a right roasting on both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk reviews. Most of the Brit reviews are complaining about Origin, whereas the Americans are equally unhappy about the game.

I would have an opinion if the sodding thing would even start installing.

So you went and read the wikipedia article, eh? Well that one says longest serving bolt-action rifle after the mosin. It also says that it's currently only used by canadian reservists and sandbox countries.

In comparison, things like the M1911 and the M2 machinegun are still in service with modern armed forces.

What difference does it make who they're still being used by?

So been on tonight with a bunch of guys, and so far still loving the game. One game crash but it was a server shut down or something. Loving the online now I'm playing with people instead of on my own and no communication xD

    Kicking ass and taking names!

So if two ethiopian pirates still use an original gattling gun, you count that towards its time in service?

If only two pirates were using an original gatling gun then no. If on the other hand an overriding organisational body responsible for arming the pirates was equipping them with original gatling guns then yes I probably would.

ok then... Must be a different sense of humour altho I do admit I did find your seeming implication that things like canadian reservists don't count as real forces any more than ethiopian pirates to be amusing.

48hrs with no power. The near freezing temperatures inside my house at night beat out my longing to play BF3. Just gimme my damn power back so I can get some heat! Stupid freak nor'easter.

Actually the 35 degree f. (near 0 celcius) shower was pretty much the icing one the cake here. No pun intended.
