Well, I have a lot to say about why I did not want to get a big screen but the result is that I need one and im going to figure out my working configuration going forward, I basicly have a gaming pc and an old non used one so I might keep my four screen cubed config and also run my new screen.

thread is nothing special I just want to contrubute to bit tech a bit.

side issue, my gaming pc switches off when under load, some thing I need to figure out why its doing it.

pixs in a sec Im tired and need to be in bed for 10 but ill try to set this up so im up and running on the new dell u3011,

tron bike was also very expensive, lol I did not know the wheels had reflective like that.

Also you know when you are walking down the road and you see a building site and those tubes pulled together with rubbish thrown down it into the bin..

You'll love 2560x1600 on one big screen. You'll also be surprised by how fast you get used to it, and simply loathe every other smaller monitor in the world.

I just noticed that! I hope you have a good extraction system, or that lovely big monitor will soon be covered in a greasy film being effectively in the kitchen!

Agreed. I thought the U2711 was big when I got it, but it was probably about a week before I wish I'd saved up another few hundred quid for a U3011 :)

Enormous! It's not until you see it in front of the chair that you realise just how big it is. I've been debating on whether to get 2 24" or one 30". But £700 is a good deal.

    I couldn't believe how quickly I got used to 2560x1600. My 3007WFP-HC seems like a 24" now.

    OMG also a fridge!
So living in a studio does indeed have a lot of advantages... And i have to walk up.. allllll the way to my room door, lift my arm and grab the door handle, turn it... and then pull to open the door, and then walk and walk and walk to the kitchen... so complicated and time consuming procedure. Might as well have the kitchen in a different country.

AND your fridge is filled to max capacity with chocolate milk (get it?)... chocolate milk and COOKKKIIEESSS!!! Mind = blown!

In all seriousness, you have no excuse to burn food. :p

Fridge right behind you! I would love that (so lazy)...

I don't think my brain could comprehend a 30" monitor - I found it a little strange to go to this U2410 after having a 19" 4:3 @ 1280x1024 for about 5 years. I've only really got used it after 4-5 months for gaming!

I would love to see a U3011 in the flesh...

I Love my Dell 3007, Simply the best screen i've ever owned. It's getting on though, over 3 years old, The day it dies and i need to buy a new replacement will be tough as i know i wont be able to get a new Dell 30" due to the cost.

its huge, its like when you look at it upclose you can feel a void in your stomac were sense normally sits, hard to discribe, its an open palate for your dreams :)

the monitor is actually free in a way I bet £250 on nick diaz on saturday to beat bj penn because that was an obvious outcome... , and also played some poker, for ref couple of things I want to do is.

1-Figure out why my pc is switching off under load
2-See if I can improve my gaming rig with corsairs sensor system.
3-try to learn to multi table 16 tables at poker for at least 15minutes.
4-take all my stuff on my sata 3 2tb drive and create my proper mirrored 2x2tb raid 1 array and put the data back..
5-Might have to change the keyboard, its a nice keyboard but I fancy some blue lights on my desk, maybe change the mouse but the mouse is ok really g9 is good one.
6-guess a web cam for chat roulette would be good lol, actually chat roulette can get stuff its nasty.
7-set up a full microsoft enviroment for some mcp and actually study.
8-remove japanse and european lanagues from my phone and get back to learning chinese.

Ill try to do an Arma 2 video good idea? or bf3? I can play both but I just fancy a game of red alert, old school :)

    Rainbow HQ.

Sat at that desk, I would feel like I should be plotting world domination, so C&C is probably quite apt. ;)
