I have just started to cobble together another rig, namely a x58 board that was lying around and i7 920, a bunch of spare radiators and case a 295GTX etc etc infact most parts required to make a pc

All the parts are mostly spare due to upgrades in in the gaming rig .

I decided I required a few additional items as the rig is water cooled, missing parts included small items such as compression fittings and LED’s & LED Strip light (Bulldog .. LED’s ,…whooooshiny lights lol) cables, plastic, wrap Vinyl and paint some different 120 fans, neoprene gasket, wet & dry paper for the case prep and other items I can’t remember just now.

The small parts bill has staggered me when totted up, an additional £250
If you cost up all your PC you are currently using .. how much extra has it cost you to be different?

I'm hesitating to total up the cost. I spent well over £150 at MDPC-X just for sleeving, heatshrink, connectors etc. The crimping tool was about £30 alone although well worth every penny.

Even though I had some great Gentle Typhoons I still replaced them as they didn't fit in with the overall look and that was close to £150.

I still need to get a decent graphics card and other bit's and pieces so it's going to be a long time before I'm close to finishing.

Some cathodes, a can of black paint, and if you count the fans I've bought in an attempt to be quiet....
    ~$150, max.

    I'm not that bad. :p

    Different - Adjective
not the same as something or somebody else
separate or distinct from another or others
    contrary to norms or expectations

Oi I didnt drop it ..I failed to catch it as it fell...
    lol

You may be funny in the mornings dear but not in the afternoons :p

Since most are not "off the shelf" everything about them could be considered different

No, I bought a towel rail, the blue tablets are now redundant ..

How much was your "additional" items for your case anyhow ...you totted them up?

I bet a gazillion ponds you can't do it Dave!!!!

I would hazard a guess and say that all the W/C gear plus what I spent modding my case comes to around £500. :eeek::eeek::eeek:

I need to go and curl up behind the sofa now and have a little cry. I'm suddenly feeling quite emotional.....
