Good luck with that. Skagen watches are very pretty but they use chinese clockworks instead of swiss which makes them less reliable. Also, their general quality is quite bad. I had one for 2 years and I had it completely replaced 3 times in that timespan.

Wow, a couple of my family members wear Skagen watches. That's quite worrying. Although I'm pretty sure Dad has had his for well over two years with no issues so far.

You've just reminded me I need to leave my Citizen in to have a new battery installed. I have a strong dislike for all my watches that are not eco-driven now :hehe:

    On the subject of housing.

Got the keys to our first house which we've bought last friday, all the carpets are getting fitted tomorrow, and ive fitted the bamboo flooring on the ground level last weekend. Just need to replace the skirting boards and get everything moved.

    Finally i have a garage mancave :D

Congrats on your house purchases 13eightyfour and Lance, hope any and all of the work you do on the houses goes to plan. Looks like you've been doing a nice job with the bamboo flooring there 13eightyfour. :)

I'm looking forward to the day when I have the money to buy a house. While renting is convenient for me at the moment, I'd love to own a property that has the planning permissions for me to shape it into something special.

Pretty thoughtless comment...as the watch was a birthday present from his girlfriend!

Well, tough luck. It's a pretty watch for sure, I am just saying that I have had very bad experiences with Skagen.

Ordered a HP Microserver (N40L, 1x4GB RAM, 250GB HDD, Windows Server 2008 R2 Foundation EN) for 238 euros. Finally a competitive price, so far it was 300+ euros everywhere. Going to put 4xWD10EADS, Corsair F120 and a 20x4 LCD display in it (i own everything except the microserver stuff).

Size 11, £10.99 from ebay ( apparently the shop is owned by Sean Connery... :hehe: )- my current ebay-specials have lasted well over a year but alas they are worn out on the inside and outside and are no-longer watertight.

Appalling customer service at Tescos. Walked straight out and down to HMV. Went with the bigger bundle too thanks to the staff there.

Also got some new threads from Topman on Friday. Chinos, shirt and an awesome hoodie. Really appalling customer service there too though.

Edit: Sounds snobby, but I do work in retail.
