Multi The World Of Tanks thread

What I have found is that the US tanks tend to suck at first only really realizing their full potential when the crew is maxed out. Sounds obvious but I have grown to really like a few of the US tanks, even the Lee.
T29 is taking a bit of getting used to as it is the antithesis of the easy 8.

 

Has anyone tried the VK3002DB? I'm trying to work my way to the panthers from a VK3601H

 

random question, has anyone tried paying for gold via the txt/phone method? I've got some credit I need to use up before I move my number and I figured this would be a productive way to spend it But having the jitters about it and wondered if anyone can say its worked ok for them?

 

I'm 2k XP away from the 3002.

I'll have it this weekend for sure. Hopefully it gains more xp and cash than the 3601.

I really didn't like the 3601 at first. But gradually I've gotten a bit better with it. It's just so expensive to repair compared to the PzIV.

 

The text method worked fine for me, I did the exact same thing lol just follow the instructions. It is horribly overpriced but may as well get something from that left over credit

 

I'm particularly proud of this kill from last night. I had a platoonmate in a VK2801 who did half of the work too...




We killed the IS-7 from 100% in our lights .

the T-50-2 seems to be popular, i watched some video on you tube with some guy scouting in one, it finally should me how a scout should work. (i think the link was either on here or maybe ocuk,)
may have a look at that, as i have a T-50 unlocked.

just started reaping the benifits. just had this game, in my A20, well happy.
safe to say the arty loved me.
i know it was triple points, but it is still a good score for me.

 

Scoring is a complete mystery to me. I just got 1016xp for a pretty meh round, all i did was register 4 hits nothing else. I've done a lot more in the past for a fraction of the xp.

 

It is currently 3 times normal XP.

You would have got XP for each hit, XP for any spotting and XP for the win. At 3 times normal XP for the first win of the day, 1016 XP is not unusual.

 

It wasn't first win of the day, I can only think of 1 tank I spotted and didn't do massive damage on anyone.

 

I've had one round where I was one shotted near the start, but my team won and still got over 400XP - I think if you are in a higher tier battle than your tank you might get extra or something like that.

 

you also get XP from being close to allied tanks doing damage as well

 

How much XP would you guys say you get on average, per round? Excluding the double/triple/5x rounds of course.

However I believe that figure would include premium and win bonuses? so isn't really all that representative of skill.
It also penalises people who spend time playing anything other than T8+ tanks as XP amount are much lower in low tier battles than high.

 

Average XP per battle is 348 but that's mostly premium so 50% on top (232 XP without). I'm an indifferent tank driver at best but still play a few rounds in them, sub 100 XP isn't unusual (hated but often seen). I get my points from arty mainly.

EDIT: Why is it that when I'm driving a tank I want less campy, more shooty and exactly the opposite as arty? Every team appears to be determined to do the exact opposite of what I can help with most!

 

It includes bonuses from premium, but not first-win bonuses...
