Looking to build in a Lian Li sff case which require a standard size PSU
ie. ATX (but not over size, only max 160mm depth and the smaller the better)
As it is SFF modular would be best.
I only need minimum 400W PSU.
    What would you recommend?
I have looked around and modular PSUs are much more expensive and often higher watttage than I need. I'm looking to spend as little as possible but I want the PSU to last me a few years.

Silverstone SST-ST50F-P is pretty decent at 500W and around £57, I replaced a Corsair CX400 with one. Not the quietest PSU when under load though.

Coolermaster Silent Pro M 500W is another great PSU, and at £60 it's a good price.

Distinct "whooshing" sound when under stress. About the same sound level as a Gelid Tranquillio at 75% fan speed.(For lack of anything better to compare it too).
Louder than the CX400 it replaced.

Im thinking it migh be worth a few extra quid for the coolermaster, quiter operation, japanese capacitors and that chunky internal heatsink. Thanks for your help, I'm stil open for more recommendations though. :)

You can buy a short cable kit for the silverstone which is handy in small cases. Might we worth checking if you can get the same for the others your looking at.
