need a new case to upgrade from coolermaster storm scout. These are the ones I've got in the basket. Antec 1100 Silverstone Raven RV02B-EW SST-TJ10S-W - Silverstone TJ10S-W Coolermaster ATCS 840 Also need a ssd and soundcard. budget is £400
For the case you might want to look at the Raven RV03, it's cheaper and significantly better than the RV02. Also look at Lian-Li's cases, they're sleek and a joy to work with.
Thanks for the suggestions, do you have any suggestions for a lian-li case for a atx sized motherboard?
We need more information. What are you putting in said case? Are you creating a media PC, a gaming PC or a server? What headphone/speaker set up do you have? How much storage space do you need on said SSD? Are there any specific workloads you would subject the SSD to, and thus would like to see perform well? Do you favour quiet over cooling? Why do you feel the need to replace the Scout? The list goes on.
I just finished a build with the Lian-Li PC-7, it's a glorious ATX mid tower. Extraordinarly easy to manage cables and plenty of room for expansion. Really any Lian-Li mid tower should do great for you. I'd recommend the PC-9, but it's up to you. Just look at the fans and drive bays supported and decide on that.
Standard atx gaming build with a 6870 so should fit in most cases. Using corsair hs1a for sound and I'm looking for an ssd with 100gb+
Looking good, would fit nicely on my desk away from my dusty floor Do you think it would look better with a micro atx board?
Well I'm gonna say yes, but that's just cause I'm skewed horribly towards any and all small form factor computers. So I'll always try and talk you into a smaller computer if I can. But if you mean putting a mATX board in the PC-9 then I'd suggest just using a full ATX board for the extra expandability.
