I'm after a decent quality Monitor for around the price as mentioned above mainly for pc gaming i've been looking at the LG IPS236V but i don't know if that the right one that's because there's some with a longer Model like

    LG IPS236V
    LG IPS236V-PN.AEU
    LG IPS226V-PN 22

I have looked at some Samsung Screen as well mainly the SAMSUNG S23A350H i just want something with decent quality image and fast response time

So if anyone could give me a list of screen and why it's good i'd be very grateful thanks :p

For that pricerange I'd go for the U2312 Kernel pointed out, or the LG IPS231P-BN variant as it's now cheaper than the 236V and has a better stand.
I own the 236V only because it was £135 when I bought mine(good £20 cheaper than any other IPS monitor).

The LG 23'' is excellent, I'd definitely recommend it. I still can't believe how cheap it was.

LG IPS231P-BN seems a decent buy and the dell looks quite good and im sure has decent support behind it

So either LG IPS231P-BN or the dell mentioned above seem to be a choice i wouldn't be disapointed with and i just have to be sure that i have the right model from seller some don't mention the BN part of the model and finding if there actually in stock

The LGs are not being produced anymore (me thinks). I'd say go for the dell for an easy time.

I'll be watching this thread, I'm currently thinking about getting rid of my 2 x 22" Samsung Syncmaster 2232BW's, so far this is taking my fancy.

I have the Dell U2312 - absolutely love it! I haven't seen the LG to compare but have heard it is meant to be decent. To be honest usually these threads all say one or the other depending on your budget/preference!

Quick recommendation from me: Dell U2412M, Dell U2312HM or ASUS PA238Q. The latter one apparently beats the Dell offerings if PRAD.de is to be believed (and that's usually the case :)). They also have reviews for the U2412M and the U2312HM.

Partially yes, I think he wants to go back to a single screen as he's being kicked out of the study and into the cupboard under the stairs (long the hiding place of the PC gamer) but I don't think these screen's will be out for a little while yet so I guess he's probably going to something like a Dell u3011, unless there's are out soon, but I might be wrong :)
