Really? I mean if you're having to pay for them, why? lol it's a 2 year old architecture You really are silly
Late 2010 it came out, so not quite 2yrs old. Silly you may say, but I know SLI works well on the GTX580, and I don't want to take the risk with a couple of HD7970 with the drivers right now, as I will be gaming at 2560x1600, and not my usual 6030x1080. I will be sitting tight for a week or 2, to see if the drivers do get better for CF, before I make my purchase of a couple of 3GB Evga classified GTX 580 to tie me over till April when the GTX 780 comes to play.
Nvidia are supposedly releasing the lower end cards first then later the high end part. So it could be Q3 before we see a GTX 780. I hope it's not as late as all that though.
I thought this thread was going to be interesting then I see a Nvidia Marketing slide posted as evidence. FAIL! Going back to BF3 now.
But you already have a 580. Just seems like a waste of money IMO. I've had mine since launch which yea you're right was November 2010. Wouldnt invest in them now though
We've kinda accepted that you're Batsh!t insane, Simon. We just look at what you're doing, then do it in three years when it doesn't cost a few thousand pounds.
Hate to say it, but you pretty much are.. Lol. I'm extremely bad for buying trinkets I have no real need for, but even I managed to resist buying an £800CPU for a 3 year old socket. Lawl
