Forget art if it looks like that!

Come on man, if you don't let that go, I'll start spamming your inbox with my piercings!

But it was in fact hair from the top of my skull! :) Going bald at the tender age of 32... :sigh:

Thanks! I hoped you would like it! :) I was thinking of doing the bottom as well, but since I have no idea of where it's going to be mounted in the case, I'll keep it as is! :)

Dude - there are some mods that inspire me. But this just makes me depressed! It makes me feel like my mods are terrible in comparison! Stop being so good or I'll have to stop modding out of shame haha.

Yeah... Throw in some glamrock hair to remind old Angel OD he's going bald!

Thanks man! I can never get enough love! :)

Well, you've only seen the start... So it might just go downhill from here! :)
The case it what should bring this whole mod to justice, and since I'm going down a couple of paths I've never been before, there's still time to f**k it up!

Thanks man! And keep on modding! :thumb:

    As Confusis says! :thumb:

BUT, I have personally never had any problems with it, so I'll keep doing it. Since all the radiators I use are made from copper, I don't really have a choice (if I want to keep doing blocks in aluminum!)
My G5 is still going strong, but there is a thin layer of black stuff (guess it's some form of corrosion) inside the aluminum blocks. But when I have to take it apart at change the water, I'll just give the blocks a good blast with glass! :)

But I'd never recommend it to anyone else, as it might just go wrong! :)

Thanks man! I will, trust me! :)

Not much new in this update, but I'll post anyways! :)

The reservoir I bought is made in a mold and they didn't really care wether the bottom was flat since it has 4 dots to sit on. I didn't want those dots, or the logo at the bottom for that matter. So I decided to grind it down. Started with 60 grit, then 260, and finished up with 1200. It still needs polishing, hope to do that tomorrow. :)

But a couple of pics to show how it's all coming along. :)

    The acrylic part sanded:

Bottom with the acrylic piece on it:

    And the tops added:

Now I just need to cut off some 7mm aluminum rods to the right lenght. Since I have no idea for inlet/outlet yet, I havn't made any threads for them.

The case should be here before the weekend. That should give me a much better idea of what I'm going to do with this mod.

    'Til then. :)

If you don't want the black stuff to occur, find some place in your loop to put a tiny lump of silver.

Thanks man. I try my best! :)

And you were right! Imagine that...

I'd like to think that I put in work on details. But there can always be more! :)

    Thanks a lot!

Ohhh... So that's what the silver coil is for! :) Any idea how pure the silver should be? Except for the logical thought that .999 must be the best idea? :)

It doesn't have to be particularly pure, as long as the impurities aren't going to cause any galvanic corrosion. You just need enough silver content for it to work properly as a biocide.

The layer of black isn't biological, it's corrosion. Instead of silver, run a glycol premix in the loop to prevent further. It will also inhibit growth, so it's two birds with one stone.
