I'm not sure whether this has been mentioned or not, but I can't see anything on the first page. Which probably is not a good sign... Yet, I'm wondering whether there are any plans to revive the podcast. I understand that the crew would be changed, but I liked the old podcast a lot and if the new one can be half as good it is worth continuing. Makes me sad a bit whenever my podcast library updates and the bit-tech one is the only one stuck in limbo.
As both Ben and Simon have said elsewhere, it'll be tough to continue the podcasts now that we're not all in an office together. It's not impossible of course, many other podcasts use Skype and the like to bring people together. I'm sure its one of many things on a very long list for both the Editors so the best advice would probably just be to watch this space and be patient. Cheers
Well, the Engadget and Verge Mobile podcasts are both done via Skype and there is a bunch of others. And they seem to work rather well from a technical POV. I guess it just seems the download figures were never great and there is not enough demand judging from this thread. Which makes me a bit sad as it was one of my favourite podcasts, but oh well.
It's something that I'm personally keen to revive in some form or other, I'll say that much. Watch this space..
Just get Joe and Harry in a room with 2 mics and ask how Monkey Island FPS would work... That's 45 minutes right there
Old. I had this conversation with Alec Meer once before http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/09/13/monkey-island-fps-revealed/
