Hi All, I want to get a mouse mat/desk cover for my desk and was thinking of other materials I could use to make one. Its 118cm x 75cm. Was thinking of neoprene rubber and then sticking a fabric coating to it but that seems like it would just go wrong . Possible substitute neoprene for silicone?
I used this, i realize youre across the pond, but im sure you have hardware stores over there http://www.lowes.com/SearchCatalogD...Id=10151&N=0&langId=-1&catalogId=10051&rpp=24
Ooo very nice, seen them for sale on ebay for car dashboards to stop phones sliding. Does your mouse work ok on it? Or is your mouse mat on top
Well i use a trackball, but yes, its perfect for a mouse tracking wise, might need some slippery feet though lol. And waterproof.
Has anyone ever tried a mousemat made of glass? I have a Logitech mouse with the Darkfield laser which can track on glass, I wonder would it be worth trying.
Tempered glass is used to cover tables/ Would probably work. Id consider 10mm thick clear Poly Carbonate as Id be scared of moving the glass
i had a glass desk but my hand/wrist would get really cold where it touched the surface. The glass cools down during the day but heats up very slowly when the heating comes on. Bought a mousemat in the end as it wasn't pleasant.
