Hi everyone,

Been a long time lurker and figured i'd get around to being a registered user and maybe one day contribute something valuable (most likely i'll just talk crap instead!).

Found the forum after seeing Attila Lukacs phenomenal CX-1 and various other projects and rather liked the no nonsense but friendly atmosphere and all the hardware porn.

Time to figure out how to add a signature as been a while since i frequented a forum in any meaningful sense.....

Thanks for the welcomes - figured out how to add a signature by hunting down the faq - unfortunately couldn't generate the requisite 10 posts to be allowed one as 12 hours after registering i found myself in hospital...

Been registered for a while, found the site whilst researching for my First Build. Very friendly and full of info, just trying to get my head round a lot of it

Hello everyone,

Long time lurker (And contributor from the old Custom PC forums) but finally decided to take the plunge and actually register an account. I'm and avid fan of all things hardware and software. I work in the embedded Linux world, but I'm a big fan of Windows, OS X and Linux. I used to have a rather up-to-date computer, but with the way things move in hardware that lasted about 5 weeks

Anyway, I'm looking forward to contributing to this community rather than being than being a casual reader, and hopefully Ill be able to share some of the knowledge that i have gathered over the years.

 

I miss the old CPC forums too but you'll be pleased to hear Bit-tech is even better

Another newbie here. I'm afraid that I'm not that computer literate, but I have managed to cobble together 5 PCs with the help of CPC magazine and Bit-Tech forums........so thanks for all your help so far!!

Decided it's about time to register and join in and, probably most importantly, ............... I love cheesecake!!

Hmmm I have to disagree with you a little on that noiz... Lots of people I know can use a computer perfectly well but wouldn't dare take a panel off one because they don't know what they are getting into. I'd say there is every possibility that someone could be taught to assemble a computer but may not actually know how to use it all that well.

 

As long as they don't try to watercool a Celeron, I'm cool with anyone joining.
