You shouldn't need to do anything special with the closed loop sets, and if it suddenly, after some use, develops such noise it's time to get the unit RMA'd.

RMA it. I had a H80 that did the same thing, Corsair replaced it.

Its only like 3/4 months old. It may be because my system is pretty silent. Its just annoying.

Can hear it over 3 nexus silent fans at full load.

@CEI - Who did you contact for an RMA? supplier or corsair?

Corsair, they handle all RMAs direct rather than through retailer. Should have been a slip in the box if you still have it.

Il dig that out tonight. Dont really want to part with a cpu cooler while its dealth with but its annoying that ive spent so much time on fans and making the pc quiet to have a pump churn away in the background :(

ive heard alot of issues with corsair units
    but ONLY the h60 / h80
never with the h50 / h70 that came beofre them...
but from what i heard there was a bad batch but no1 seems to know exactly what makes the batch bad, why it happens...or how to stop it ( corsair are remaining tight lipped )

I had three faulty H60's in a row. Their Quality Assurance is awful, I'd not buy one again!

if the store has 100 of the bad batch...most of them will have this problem.
should imagine corsair will do a re-call on the affected batch

People all over the world have had problems, I'd say it's an entire production run that's faulty rather than a bad batch.

They went from Asetek to CoolIt, didn't they? Sigh.

EDIT: I'd almost forgot, but also my H100 was noisy. Wouldn't stop making the damn noise no matter how I twisted and turned it.
