Just wondered if any else seems to have an issues with there H60 or similair device. Mine seems to making far more noise than it used to, likes its churning air'ated water about? Tried making the cpu the lowest part of the loop but it still occurs, Any advise?
how old is it ?? there been a batch or something with air or damaged pumps. If its in warranty RMA it Corsair Forum H60 noise
You shouldn't need to do anything special with the closed loop sets, and if it suddenly, after some use, develops such noise it's time to get the unit RMA'd.
Its only like 3/4 months old. It may be because my system is pretty silent. Its just annoying. Can hear it over 3 nexus silent fans at full load. @CEI - Who did you contact for an RMA? supplier or corsair?
Corsair, they handle all RMAs direct rather than through retailer. Should have been a slip in the box if you still have it.
at 3 or 4 months go for supplier they may pass it on but should deal with it (Saying that depends were you bought it from)
Il dig that out tonight. Dont really want to part with a cpu cooler while its dealth with but its annoying that ive spent so much time on fans and making the pc quiet to have a pump churn away in the background
Previously ive clocked it to 3.7 in bios but its been at stock for a month or 2. No need for clocking right now
Ah ok, Can make my case like a wind tunnel if needed anyway haha. RMA entered, less concenrned about the noise than the fact im running with a faulty cooler (and that I paid retail for it )
ive heard alot of issues with corsair units but ONLY the h60 / h80 never with the h50 / h70 that came beofre them... but from what i heard there was a bad batch but no1 seems to know exactly what makes the batch bad, why it happens...or how to stop it ( corsair are remaining tight lipped )
if the store has 100 of the bad batch...most of them will have this problem. should imagine corsair will do a re-call on the affected batch
People all over the world have had problems, I'd say it's an entire production run that's faulty rather than a bad batch.
They went from Asetek to CoolIt, didn't they? Sigh. EDIT: I'd almost forgot, but also my H100 was noisy. Wouldn't stop making the damn noise no matter how I twisted and turned it.
