News Gamers plan sit in for Half-Life 3 details

I recently played through HL2 and both the episodes again. But I may load up a save point from somewhere in the game on Saturday. And why not? It is always good fun.

 

Think I'll join em ! If it downloads by saturday !

I love geeks/nerds. More worried about missing a mass HL2-athon than being grateful they have a date.

 

Lol dude you need to get a grip! You can play HL anytime! Playing it all together won't make a difference, going on a date might make a difference for you though!

I'll be playing, I never get bored of HL2.

 

I've never, ever, seen the reason for all the half life fandom.

HL1 was fine, HL2 felt like HL1 with a few different settings and more physics puzzles,

 

The HL franchise has been a pioneer on several levels. THAT is why it's so successful.

 

I wonder if Black Mesa Source will be done by the time they release HL3. Otherwise, they'll have to start over with the new engine. Ouch....

 

Why would they have to start over? I'm sure 99% of people would be more than happy with it in the Half Life 2 engine.

 

I have never understood whiney internet fans who jump up and down like screaming little children demanding things...I mean really! This is again a classic example of the maturity of gamers the world over.

Does anyone honestly belive Valve have abondoned the Half-Life universe, one of its major cash cows! I mean come on lets be serious, Valve haven't gotten this far in the business to be that stuipid. But yet everyone runs amok on forums like this as if they themselves are running corporate gaming companies, and of course as usual they know best!

I am a firm settler in the camp of "When its done, its done". Like Blizzard, Valve is truly one of the shining beacons in the PC game developement arena and if that means I have to wait fifteen yearsfor a sequel, I'll gladly do so if it stay true to the originals but still inovates. I mean God, imagine valve pumping out a Half Life every year the way Activision and Ubisoft whore their cash cows out.

No thanks, you can count me out. I love Half Life 2 like everyone else, its just there is far more important things in my life than getting my undies in a knot over whether Valve will release another Half Life game tomorrow.

And the sad state of affairs is its crazy fans like this that keep demanding releases only to get their new release, find out its **** and tear in appart on forums the next day.

iv never played a bigger pile of mud in my life, even hf2 sucked, combat was ropey, voice acting sounded like a disney movie, absolute crap, level design a 2 yr old coulda done, there iv said it, how many of you are angry, let the flaming commence....

I recently tried to play through them for the first time and for bored, I can understand how awesome they must have been back in the day though!

 

Just downloaded HL2 and Lost Coast... let the fun commence.
