Not sure I'm gonna have time tonight mate. And I'm off skiing for a week tomorrow. Looks like it'll have to wait until after I get back, by which time I imagine interest may have died.
Oh.. i dunno... something tells me this thread will still be here Have a nice holiday! Don't break anything! How's that possible? I tell ya... Heaven can't be trusted.
Good.. I was starting to think Heaven just spazzes out too much.... and yeah... get outa here with your devil's work of a GPU you heathen
Any of you hexcore guys want to try a Vantage run with CPU physx? Would like to see how a 580 compares to this. 27,429 910/1820/2100 (295.51 beta)
http://3dmark.com/3dm11/2684371 1 card at stock clocks, 855/1710/2106 & 2 cards at 1Ghz core http://3dmark.com/3dm11/2684467
http://3dmark.com/3dm11/2686088 P4550 with card at your stock settings. I can't get 1GHz Not because it's not stable, but because nothing allows me to turn it up that high lol
Nice score mate, I reckon that's not bad for a Gtx 470, seems the extra cuda cores makes a big difference, maybe the extra vram helps as well. Do you know what you max stable clock is?
Yeah, 915/1830/2180. But that's only because AfterBurner's sliders don't go any higher lol I did get EVGA Precision, but that doesn't allow me to put as much voltage through it, though it does allow higher clocks. So I'm a bit stumped as to what to try now I was going to modify the vbios, but I can only change max voltages and stuff, can't seem to alter anything to do with clocks Oh and the extra cuda cores I'm guessing are the major contributor to difference in score. Maybe I should try to flash my 470 to a 580 /impossible thoughts Edit: Hmm, just looked back at my score. It doesn't seem to have picked up the overclock on the 470. An error in 3dmark or an error with the overclock?
You've got a killer 470 there noiz - mine topped out at 865 core and I couldn't get more than 1924 memory. This 480 more than makes up for it tho. I'll get Mark11 and run it on my new system. In the meantime... Here's my 470 score at 865/1730/1924 with the i7 920 at 4.3GHz
You seem to be missing a link/picture there Lenny And it's not actually as good as it sounds, I upped the max voltage from 1087mV to 1125mV to get it stable lol Oh and should you need to ever give the 480 away because it's just too awesome to handle, I'll gladly take the burden lol
Try to refresh the page - I'm getting the picture! How far can you get your 470 on 1087mV? Min had a good core but not great memory.
Nope, no picture for me Stupid work laptop lol I'm not sure on 1087mV. I will try it when I get home. I think it maxes around 850/1700/2050 but like I said, I'll try again when I get home. I need a better CPU to up my scores in 3dmark11 I think. I seem to be the only regular person in this thread who doesn't own an i7
Yeah hyperthreaded CPUs really boost Futuremark performance in Vantage/11. The Mark11 score you can't see is P5819... I'm thinking maybe 7K at a push with my current system.
It's annoying me not being able to see the picture lol And yeah, I reckon if I had hyperthreading my score would be considerably better. I wonder how far I could push my CPU and GPU. I reckon I could get nearly 5000. Should anyone want to send me their shiny i7, please feel free /forever an i5
Just ran with my CPU at 4.5GHz, GPU at stock, and got pretty much the same as my 470 score on my previous system: 5852. If I can be arsed taking my PC back upstairs I might do it again with the CPU at 5GHz and max GPU clocks.
