Question: How does the placement of your rig determine which speeds you run it at?

My rig lives in the sitting room, ambient temp 21C (usually).

Upstairs in the spare room, ambient temp is about 8C and I sit the PC next to an open window :D

Ah right, I understand now :D I wait until 4 in the morning to do most stuff as it gets to about 8C in the living room where my rig is. Does mean I have to get up early though :(

This is why I bench overnight. It drops to sub-zero outside, and I just open the windows and crank the case-fans.

You seem to be one of the few people I've noticed that has an AMD system with a 580 so you might struggle. Have you tried pushin your CPU further to see how it affects your score. It could just be down to it being an AMD chip.

Just installed my first backplate and slowly warming into the idea of tinkering further with it so install a custom GPU loop, once I grow a set lol. The backplate has reduced my idle temps by 2-3c, not sure about load yet will post soon.
