Great idea using metal weld+TIM. Let us know how this performs - I'll probably have to attempt to do something similar with an ITX project I have planned as I want to water-cool the chipset and vrms.

Roll on the next update shortly then :p

Well so far.. very well.. the pico unfortunately doesn't have bios stats for temperature so i need to reply on the fan controller to give me a temperature further down the line :)

Almost finished the watercooling loops last night!

Graphics card waterblock in - over an hour and a half to fit the bottom barb properly!
Theres a aluminium pipe in both top and bottom to prevent kinking of the pipes.
Top barb took 20 mins. :thumb:

    Just call me mario!
The zip ties will later (at somepoint) be replaced by a aluminium holder.

Can you now understand why the graphics card pipe doubles back on itself?
makes a nice tidy solution i think! :D

Not as tight as i thought it would be at the point... it gets worse as soon as the power supply goes in! :duh:

Wow, it looks amazing mate. The coil around the tubing just gives it an extra bit of class :D.

The theme is black, silver and red.. so tried to implement it best i could whilst keeping a sort of uniform look about it. I'm still not sure.. but we'll see how we progress :D

    Power supply...

How the power supply started out less some of its connectors!!

I didn't like the fact that previously all the atx cables were grouped together
So lets roll on the hard work!!

The power supply and mess mid work!
    Ha look at that mess!!

But amongst all that chaos is some good principles. Precut shrink in place and all the tools I need within easy reach!
Note that the lid is off? this is so that i could shrink the heatshink inside the casing as well.
Not everyone does this but i want to take the time and effort to make sure this is done right.
The casing is also bent back so that i could get my fat fingers in there
This is corrected when putting the casing back on.

    Num num num!
    Lots of sleeving!

    Every end heatshrinked

The sleeving in place and tidied.
Its also been placed to sit just below the hard drives.
The cable was secured with a 1inch sticky pad and zip tie.

    Graphics cables in place.
Chose for these to be grouped for ease (this may change)
The heatshrink acts as a stress reliever for the cable.

it runs along the front panel.
The cable has been arched in such a way that i can still access the screws for the drive bay if i need to. Its something simple but makes life so much easier later down the line!

Graphics cable held in place with zip ties

Looks nice and tidy and out of the way!

Bulk of the other cabling up and out of the way hidden from view.

Made a slight mistake and made the 4pin atx connector cables too short!
So that's another project later on in the week

Also need to find a black connector for this :)

I've also yet to do the sata power cables as i need 2 drives to work out how far apart the connectors must be. This will be done later on in the project :)

The bulk of the project will continue... the shuttle will still be watercooled.. its just going to lose the pico. This isnt just because i've lost interest but because finances have taken a plummet making the project what it is.. i simply cant afford to finish it without some help! :)

There isnt anything to say i dont have a sneaky idea up my sleeve though!!

Thats just so i can fulfil the remainder of my projects!!!
The shuttle has taken front place in all of the projects..

    Then htpc

    Then nas

All the hard drives for everything will be paid for on pay day..

    So thats - 2x 64gb Corsair GT60 Red SSD's -£140
    750GB 2.5" Sata - £50
    2TB - £65

From that i can finish off the shuttle, htpc and nas :)

wow, lucky you're atill getting cheap prices on hard drives. I had to downgrade to a 1TB which was the same price as 2 when i started my project :sigh:

Sorry to hear about the car and the sale of parts of this mod, was looking really good.

Could you tell me where the 7" screen and control board where from? I would like something similar in the near future.
