    This has been a thread of pure win for the past few pages! :)

    I've been listening to and watching the Foo Fighters and their "extended band" as Dave Grohl calls it for years, and all along I knew I recognised their violinist/vocalist's name and face from somewhere! Petra Haden did an album in 2003 with the fantastic Bill Frisell, which I bought at the time and listened to endlessly. I only made the connection last night whilst watching the "Skin & Bones" DVD. I posted some clips from that DVD a couple of pages back - This is from that 2003 album:
