Scratch Build – In Progress Epic's Thermal Tower - Need suggestions for the loop route, help me! 20.05.2012

Another update for the weekend and after much planning, I now have a rim down the base of the case that lights up!



You can also see that the bolts are holding the case together quite nicely



The case is nice and tall but really not that long or wide. It can still fit cards much bigger than the 6990 and has plenty of room for our install.

I go back to work tomorrow and will post updates as I can!

You're calling it Thermal Tower? I'd've thought something like "Cooling Tank" would've worked better. It's a beast of a case!

I just called it the Thermal Tower because it looks like a chimney and the heat goes up through it vertically

Personal pref but you should probably wait till the carbide production photos come out as it's looking quite good at the moment. I really want to see it in person, see if it's a different animal and the same beast

I got some engraving done and have Wednesday off, plenty of progress on Wednesday is coming up


Will be interesting to see how I integrate the ROG parts into the build. The build is of course blue and black so I'll be changing some of the default LEDs in the parts to accommodate.
