http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/559922 New memory. 1600mhz of it. Still 8gig. 4.7ghz clock... just enough to clear all those Phenoms... PHEW!!! Also, feel for you Tundra as the memory performance definitely makes a difference in this particular bench. I'll try harder later.
Enough to clear the Phenoms, but not the lone, overheating FX series before you. I still rage at the controller. Piledriver isn't likely to be much better, either. It'll still be using the same socket, so the NB bottleneck will still be there, even if they do improve the Memory Controller.
Wa! shh... To be fair to ... What? Same chipsets again? Easy upgrade path only goes so far. Eventually you want moar!! But to be fair to those phenoms... 6 cores, lower clocks, hampered by memory.
Works a treat. Using 0.015 +offset, and medium LLC and it gives me the exact same on load volts as my static settings. At idle, it's around 0.85V Idle: Being brutalised by IBT Max: Leaving it running to test stability, but as the Vcore is the same, and no other settings have been changed, I'm pretty certain it's fine.
Exactly. I might be a bit peeved if AMD change sockets, but I'd accept it is needed in order to be able to open up for the next generation of processors that actually have a relatively good memory controller. They've been recycling the AM2/3/+ platform for, what, Eight years now?
Excellent! I prefer it running low idle voltages, as opposed to running high voltages, even at idle speeds; = Longer life span for the chip. +Rep button for my awesomeness? Hint...hint
this was at 5.2 i still dont understand why my results are lower than some people's when they have lower clocks/the same clocks as me. if anyone could shed some insight it would be appreciated http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/561297
