Wish I had the skills and tools to customize cases like you do...

That is why I ended up buying the biggest case that better suited my needs so I don't have to do any cuttings or too much customization since I don't want to destroy everything around me

    Keep it up Angel :)

So you did... And I'm trying to forget it as well as it really is stuck in the back of my head that I need to get it in there! :)

Well it's been 3 months, and time is relative! :thumb:

    Thanks man! :)

That's one way of doing it. But it IS a bit boring, isn't it? :naughty:

Another boring update for you guys.

I'm in the middle of figuring out where everything goes in this case.

Since this is the build with the most room I've done, I actually thought it was going to be a breeze to just throw everything in there... Boy was I wrong... :worried:

But just because I'm lying on the floor staring at the case, does not mean you shouldn't have something to look at. :)

Since I need 2 pumps for this build, and only have money for a single Laing DDC I decided to bring in an oldie!

Some might already have guessed where this is going, and the rest of you... I guess you will find out! :)

The first babysteps, to make sure I can get started measuring everything for the re-build!

That's it for now! Always leave them wanting more! :thumb:

    C ya soon amigos!

So I'm not sure if you make the impeller entirely on the mill or not, but I think you would get more performance out of it if you made part of it on the lathe.

I think I notice there that the impeller blades actually get bigger as they get closer to the middle. If you replicate this feature on the lathe, you will probably get a better pump. Do it!

Heh... I see what you did there! :thumb:

    Thanks man! :)

I still have nightmares about modding pumps! But since the one I made for the car actually still works, even after below -15 degrees centigrade, I decided to go for one more! :)

I think you migth be quite right my good man! :thumb:

I made the impeller simple the last time on the CarPc build:

But that was only because I made it at a time I was planning to use real glass as the top, and the idea of making the curvature in glass didn't seem quite smart! :)

So yeah, I'm going to do it the way it's now, and mill the curve into the top! :)

Yeah... I'm betting pOPe is going to be in here very soon trying to jinx me!

But I'm going to go with the idea of not killing this one off!

    Thanks man! :)

You'd think from all of the time spent doing the first pump mod that Angel would have given up by now. Talk about a desire for self-inflicted punishment.

He's either gotten the hang of it, or has a masochistic side...

Just remember your girl will kill you if the rig fails at a critical moment. Sometimes the extra for a trusted pump type is good.
:worried: Did I just jinx you before Pope could? I hope I didn't step on any toes.

Thanks man! :) And yeah, here we go again!

    Mmmmm... Pain...

    Thanks a lot! :)

Well, that's what I go for! :thumb:

I'd go with "gotten the hang of it" - But you just never know!

I completely agree, but if I buy a pump it would have to be a Laing ddc/swiftech etc. to match the other one. If not I might as well give this one a go! :)

And of course we never know if it's gonna die in the making! :worried:

Well... Getting jinxed by a monkey or a pOPe... Since the monkey got to it first and I'm down with the theory of evolution - I'm screwed! :worried:

    Btw, thanks pOPe... :grr:
