Graphics 7850/7870 Specs surface

This is the news i have been waiting for. Im looking to upgrade to the 7870 when they are released.

These cards should be great! and the price/performance should also be killer!! however it looks like the difference between the hd 7850 and the hd 7870 is minimal and may not result in much difference performance wise.... just a thought

 

Hmmm, if these specs are as good as they look, I might get one of these instead of the GTX 660 when it comes out.

 

Expect AMD to price these at or just above 6950/70 prices* ...first because thay can...there's nowt from nVidia til end of March-begining of April. And second, to make the 69**s look like great value and so clear out remaining stock.

*subject to actual comparable performance ofcourse.

 

I will defo wait for nvidia to release their cards, they should be good value when the price war starts

 

If your waiting for their 78** competitor, you could be waiting sometime. First out of the gate will be their 7970/50 'beater' gfx104... atleast it could be based on performance in some games and not in others and/or on price... depending on which latest net rumour you choose to believe.

Either way... you'll be waiting til end-o May June.

 

I'd like Nvidia to get their heads out of their behind, really considering the 7950... and I would really like to use a bit less than the current price.

But they have several months of preparation so they at the very least should have a good chance of beating AMD this time, if it is only because they are later.
