I'll take a guess he is melting the ends to the wires. :thumb: Nice idea if that is what he is doing. :D

    Thanks guys!

And how I do heatshrinkless sleeving.. Tried many ways, but melting sleeve is the best way. Good guess Waynio. ;) It's not that different from method used with paracord. Heating and twisting sleeve over crimp works, but it has to be done really fast and several times. And I always burn my fingers while doing it. But then I saw someone on other forum using heatshrink as help.

You basically take sleeve and heatshrink and put them on the wire like in traditional sleeving. Maybe just a bit longer sleeve. Then heatshrink is heated up with flame way too much. Small bubbles and smell of burning rubber is good. :D

    Result should look like this:

And after cutting heatshrink away you have perfectly melted sleeve.

The burnt heatshrink is the better option for the finger tips though. :D

    Thank you guys!

KoSoVaR^, crimping sleeve turned out to be really hard. I just broke crimps most of the time.. First test crimps were done with a bit thinner wire and it was ok'ish. I think melting sleeve is just as good method - at least look wise. :)

And by the way, I finished something tonight:

I'm happy with the result.. Definitely worth of sore fingertips. :D
