    UPDATE 22/02/12

Time for another update, All my stuff has now been moved to new house and so I can finally get to work dismantling my old pc and see what needs attention and what will get a just a dust off. The PSU is a OCZ 1250 Watt fully modular unit. The cabling is going to be a challenge to say the least (nowhere to hide) but here's a pic of the PSU.

Next up is the GPU(s) These are from ASUS, (have you guessed that I'm a fan of ASUS kit yet ?) I'm practicing my close up magic so .... pick a card...... any card

These have been fitted with waterblocks from EK, Their site is well worth checking out as they have a pretty nifty compatibility page http://www.coolingconfigurator.com/

You'll notice a couple of quick release connectors, (one is separated) These are rather handy for isolating groups of blocks so that you don't have to drain down the whole cooling system to get at bits of hardware. The next pic shows the backplates that come with the cards. The blocks and the back plates will be sprayed gold.

Remember the ROG logo I was talking about earlier ? what do you mean you only look at the pictures ? (you'll go blind) The logo fits into the waterblock for the motherboard. Yes this one is from EK too. The logo will be replaced by a "DON'T PANIC" logo but that's for later...

When draining down the system I noticed that the blocks will need a good clean and flush through, A bit of silver will be added into the reservoirs to help combat the crud. You can see how bad it is in the CPU cooler, this lil item is something I got a while back (can't seem to find them anymore)

Next is the Ram, I like the Balistics tracer ram from Crucial, yeah I know it's not the fastest stuff out there but I do like the LED's. The LED's flash when the memory module is active.

The last few bits are an Intel 960 CPU and a SSD from OCZ this one is an agility 3 128-gig, for some reason I don't throw away my old boxes, Payed off for this build as I can show off my box collection, I didn't bin that heatsink from the ASUS board either (you can see what I mean about the design that could inspire a build)

and finally I got the motherboard mounted onto the tray, I can now get to work fitting the PSU and drives, the housings will also support the motherboard tray, you can imagine how much the acrylic bends with all the weight of the cards fitted with waterblocks.

That's all for now, stay HOOPY :cooldude:

Might I suggest scaling that up to at least standard pub measures, more fun will ensue :)
