Hmm L.A. Noire on Steam, complete edition is £12.49. Worth it for that price?

I know people have Origin Issues but Mass Effect is £4.99 on Origin instead of £9.99 on Steam. Steam could drop thier price down but maybe they wont. Will give it a day and see what happens.

Actually, Valve have openly said a few times that publishers set the prices on steam, and they just take a % (percentage has been reported to be a few different things depending on who you talk to but thats on a publisher/developer basis). So no, they couldn't reduce the price.

I'm interested in Anno 2070. Appearently you cannot play the game offline anymore due to the Ubisoft DRM. When I checked the game on amazon there were lots and lots of one-point ratings. However this also was the case with Skyrim.

How bad is it for real? Do you have problems playing Anno 2070 at main hours (6-11pm, Sundays etc)?

Ive never experinced any problems when playing Anno 2070, the online requirement is not much and you wont notice it when in game.

unless it's been updated in the last couple of days, you can play it offline just fine. In fact I did at the weekend when the uni network went down.

Then if EA is the publisher why isn't it discounted on both Origin and Steam?

Well it is hardly a suprise that EA are pushing their own titles with discounted prices to promote their own content delivery service.

If what Lenderz says is correct then EA are doing this by not asking Valve to lower the Steam price, therefore making Origin look better.

True, Origin is ok, but having more Steam Games than Origin I'm going to wait to buy Mass Effect and anything else for that matter.

Money being tight as it is

For those of us old enough to remember Blake Stone or Rise of the Triad, Good Old Games has 50% off old Apogee FPS titles this weekend.

I'd love Stargunner to be available too - that was an amazingly fun game!

I bought this pack with the Hard Reset at £3.21. Hard Reset is proving quite a tough game. Playing it in stereoscopic 3d.

lol, good ol' Steam and their guys struggling to enter the deals correctly... I'd say that one is more special than them having to change them every few minutes over Christmas.

They've corrected it now and the deal is 80% off, so £5.
Shame none of the DLC is on reduced in the offer (apart from that dreadful 'Trains vs Zombies' one).
